Mike is another guy that just can’t follow the crowd.
He does things his way, and his way usually places him well outside of the majority.
This includes his hobbies. Mike enjoys ‘T Hunting’, tearing apart electronic components,
and military vehicles.

Mike’s M37 is different from most in that it was an United States Air Force vehicle.
Yep, hard to believe those fly boys needed such a heavy duty transport vehicle to
go from the chow hall the their hotels! However, someone in procurement checked the
box and that’s where it went!

Mike inherited this ol’ girl from his father-in-law. You see, Pops was a Veteran and
enjoyed showing his pride by driving her in Memorial Day parades, holiday events,
and just about anything else with a patriotic theme.

To honor his father-in-law Mike wants to restore her to fully functional, period correct
condition. Then he plans to follow in Pops footsteps honoring both Pops and the truck’s
duty to country!

Mike & The M37

She had been sitting for a long time in Mike’s barn, so she needed a little coaxing when
we went to pick her up. After some head scratching and deep thought she decided to
cooperate and fired up for the short ride to the trailer.

As you can see from these shots the ol’ girl is in really good shape. That’s why dry
weather and barn storage are such a good combination!
