When Jose retired after forty plus years of work he had plans of restoring
his old
Chevy Panel. He had been slowly working on it over the years and was
looking forward
to all the extra time he was going to have to ‘get busy’
on it.
What he didn’t know was his son had
other plans for him!
Jose’s family and friends gathered for
his retirement party, and his son drove down
from Northern California for the weekend and brought his enclosed
trailer with him.
When Jose went to help his son ‘unload’ the trailer he
found his ‘retirement gift’,
this 1954 Chevy Bel Air his son had gotten for him!
It has the 235 six cylinder engine with two
one-barrel carbs, automatic transmission,
two-tone paint, baby moons, and chrome for miles!
Is Jose enjoying retirement? Well, ask him
when you see him…if you can get him to
stop smilin’ long enough to talk to you!
Happy Retirement Jose!
